ENTRY INFORMATION

We had a great MOY event this year! Thank you to all who participated. Submissions will reopen in January 2024.

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED

FINALISTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON

The Marketer of the Year program is open to any Tampa Bay and surrounding area company or organization from as far north as Land O Lakes to as far south as Sarasota. We accept applications that have generated proven results from a marketing campaign in the last year.

As part of the process, a submission must score a minimum of 70 points to qualify as a finalist. The submission with the most points in a particular category is considered the winner of that category. The submission with the most points overall is crowned the Grand Marketer of the Year!

Each year we encourage local Tampa Bay businesses to submit their best marketing campaigns of the previous year to compete against other local area marketers.

Applications are filled out using a form tool and consist of a series of long-answer format questions. The average application takes approximately 45 minutes to fill out and progress may be saved for later. Applicants are encouraged to attach files from the campaign and must upload their company logo.

For further questions about the application process, please contact moy@amatampabay.org.

Volunteer of the Year

Prepare your application from one of the following eight categories

B2B MARKETING

The B2B Marketing category honors the best marketing campaign targeted to B2B conversions. The campaigns submitted may include any form of marketing; traditional, digital, or otherwise.

CONTENT MARKETING

The Content Marketing category recognizes a marketing campaign with a focus on implementing a content strategy to share a narrative resulting in conversions. Submissions must seamlessly integrate various direct communication channels to reach an audience and must include a minimum of 5 content marketing pieces to be considered. Any combination of mass media tactics including direct mail, email, mobile, print, TV, radio, billboards, or any other medium could have been used to accomplish your campaign goals.

DIGITAL MARKETING

The Digital Marketing category awards a marketing campaign that utilizes any form of digital marketing including email, online display, online video, social media, SEO, SEM, blogs, or a holistic combination of digital efforts for marketing excellence.

DIVERSITY IN MARKETING & ADVERTISING

This category will invite local marketers who address(ed) issues through their campaign relating to any disenfranchised group – BIPOC, generational, gender, cultural, disabled individuals, and the inauthentic and sometimes clichéd portrayals of different groups within current creative ads, platforms, and marketing.

The campaign should demonstrate a commitment to ensure representation and inclusion remain a priority across various campaigns and platforms, above and beyond national holidays or recognized date content (i.e., Hispanic Awareness Month, International Women’s Month). A winning campaign recognizes the vital importance of continuously challenging perceptions and encouraging better representation and authenticity in marketing, and advertising.

EVENT MARKETING

The Event Marketing category recognizes excellence in the promotion and execution of a special event (gala, fundraiser, trade show, conference, pop-up, etc.) to market a brand or message based in Tampa Bay. Events may have been conducted in-person or virtually for a local, regional, national, or international audience.

FEEL GOOD MARKETING

The Feel-Good Marketing category recognizes an inspirational marketing campaign that achieved a feel-good brand message while uplifting the Tampa Bay community. Did your campaign harness joy to elicit a positive feeling resulting in better engagement with your brand? The best feel-good campaigns are memorable and bring a smile to our faces while driving results.

NON-PROFIT MARKETING

The Non-Profit Marketing category honors a marketing initiative executed for or by non-profits that have a presence in Tampa Bay and use marketing dollars to reach a regional, national, or international presence. This category may include small organizations or branches of larger national non-profits. Nonprofits headquartered and founded in other regions are welcome to submit for this award but must enter work that was executed to steward a cause in Tampa Bay.

STUDENT MARKETING

This category honors marketing campaigns created and executed by marketing students enrolled in marketing, advertising, mass communications, or marketing program equivalent in both Spring and Fall semesters in 2022. Nominations can originate from individual students applying on their own or on behalf of Collegiate AMA Chapters for significant accomplishments in the field of marketing.
